Landscape Gallery

Creating the illusion of space, a place, or a landscape, probably predates true artistic expression. It was most likely used to convey the location of an bison herd, or distance to the next water source or geographic obstacle. Painting landscapes is a satisfying way for me to convey a sense of place or environment, and share my impressions with others. It also allows me to re-experience a destination, and to accent the elements that inspired me.

The inspirations and references for my landscapes, are drawn from memory of my journeys, pure imagination or from my large file of landscape photographs.
