Reclining Figure |

The
idea for an artwork can be derived from impressions, imagination,
insights or inspiration.
Art can also be an experimental process driven by methods, tools,
colors, and materials that
results in forging new ideas and impressions during the very act
of creation. What the final,
finished piece looks like and its title, sometimes only comes
to the artist upon completion of
the art and a final pondering of what the art might evoke in the
viewer or convey to the artist.
As
I worked on this mixed media artwork, the abstracted form of a
reclining figure began to
reveal itself. Once I envisioned the emerging form, I was drawn
to selecting a color pallete
and style that further reinforced the theme and form that I had
visualized as I painted.
